***
I provide discreet, highly personalized individual and couples therapy for adults located in either state. Appointments are available on weekdays and weekends, with daytime and evening times. Psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults is also offered.
SERVICES
-

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Providing therapy for adults seeking to navigate life challenges and gain a meaningful, lasting understanding of self.
Individuals I see contend with anxiety, depression, stress of demanding careers, matters of aging and fertility, concerns about pregnancy and postpartum, parenthood, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.
-

COUPLES THERAPY
Providing therapy for couples seeking to navigate disagreements, manage critical life transitions, and foster long-term closeness.
Couples I see contend with communication challenges, cultural differences, sexual concerns, family planning, life post children, infidelity, and questions about whether to embark on the journey of marriage or living together.
-

PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING
Providing comprehensive psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults. Testing addresses questions about learning differences, attention difficulties, and mood or behavioral concerns.
Effective therapy takes time. It requires untethered curiosity for the narrative you hold about yourself and others. It produces adaptive, sustained change in how you experience yourself and your relationships.
CLINICAL APPROACH
-

TRUST
We build a trusting therapeutic relationship and establish mutual treatment goals.
Trust and shared goals brew curiosity which, in turn, encourages exploration of all aspects of yourself; particularly of those which may be lost or silenced.
-

INSIGHT
What brings you into therapy - whether it be reactions to life transitions, difficulties in relationships - often roots in non-adaptive patterns of relating to yourself and others.
These patterns, though learned and likely once adaptive, may now hinder your life longings.
Exploration of your unique patterns of behavior, of how they came to be, will help you gain a deeply meaningful understanding of your sense of self.
-

PROGRESS
We explore the history of your concerns, while maintaining a focus on the present and actively addressing your patterns of behavior as they unfold in sessions.
This allows us to pave a new, adaptive way of being.
ABOUT
Dr. ANDREA VILLALOBOS, PsyD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in individual and couples therapy, as well as psychological assessment.
I hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association. I also hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Occidental College.
Before founding my practice, I refined my clinical expertise across a comprehensive continuum of care - including major hospital networks, specialized medical clinics, community mental health organizations, and private group practices.
My approach is integrative and highly tailored, drawing from training in psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and frameworks like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I am licensed to practice in both Colorado and California.
If you would like to explore how we can work together, I invite you to request a private consultation.
Experience therapy as collaborative dialogue distinguished by highly personalized, implementable clinical feedback.
Our work begins the moment we meet.
Pricing available upon request, via call or email. If interested, we can schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation.
One. On. One Psychology is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Many clients have out-of-network benefits that reimburse part of the cost of care. On request, you will receive a superbill — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement.
Insurers require a diagnosis in order to reimburse. Submitting a superbill therefore means disclosing that information to your insurance company. Working privately means that decision stays yours rather than being made automatically, and clients who prefer to keep their care entirely outside the insurance system are welcome to do so.
